Brian and Robin’s Christmas Compendium of Reason 2019

Brian Cox and Robin Ince

Friday December 6th
Eventim Apollo

It’s back. Of course it is. Professor Brian Cox and Robin Ince’s traditional take over of the Hammersmith Apollo for a night of overrunning science, comedy, music and mayhem. And this year we are delighted to say the show will be officially co-presented by The Cosmic Shambles Network along with Phil McIntyre Entertainments.

As ever, show profits go to charity and the charities we are supporting at Compendium this year are Medicins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders, The Sophie Lancaster Foundation, Rennie Grove Hospice and Wamba Community Trust. We will also have mobile food bank out the front of the venue once more collecting for The Trussell Trust. Scroll down to see the most urgently needed items.

As usual, the guest list will be a very closely guarded secret but guests in the past that have joined Robin and Brian on stage include Chris Hadfield, Alice Roberts, Eric Idle, Steve Coogan, Charlotte Church, The Cure, Dara O’Briain, Jo Brand and Duran Duran. Who will take the stage this year? The only way to find out, is to be there…

You can read about last year’s show here.

This show is now SOLD OUT. You can check here or call the Apollo box office for last minute returns.

Each year at the Compendium and Nine Lessons we collect items for the Trussell Trust. It’s madness that food banks are needed at all in the UK but it is a sad fact of life that they are. Every year we, and the Trussell Trust, are overwhelmed by the generosity of our audience. Here are the most urgently needed items, and items they have plenty of, for this year.

Most Urgently Needed
Tinned meat
Tinned Fish
Small jars of coffee
Jams
Condiments and spreads like peanut butter
Basic toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo etc)
Chocolates and confectionary

While all donations are greatly appreciated the Trussell Trust already has excess quantities of the below items
Soup
Nappies
Sanitary items
Dry pasta
