and a few surprises on the night!

The planned Sea Shambles event at the Hall was sadly cancelled as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, but we’re delighted that a rejigged at-home version of the show will form part of our Royal Albert Home series at The Stay at Home Festival

The show will streamed live and free via our YouTube channel and the Royal Albert Hall website to watch online at the same time, on the same date, as the original show that was set to take over the main auditorium at the Hall. May 17th at 7:00pm.

Everyone will be joining in on the fun from their living rooms for a science, music and comedy show about the past, present and future of our blue planet. If you’ve ever wondered what Compendium of Reason or Nine Lessons might look like if none of us left the house, probably something like this. Expect chaos.

The show may be free to stream but you can still ‘buy a ticket’ by donating to one of the causes we’ll be highlighting as part of the show. As with all the shows we’ve done in this period you can drop a tip in the jar of the The Stay at Home Festival for artists and venues around the country hit hard by the shutdown. The Royal Albert Hall is itself a charity that receives no government revenue funding and relies on putting on shows to keep its doors open so you can donate direct to their charity.

And all our profits from the original show were going to be donated to three nominated marine conservation charities so we’d encourage you to support them as well. They are the brilliant and inspiring Bite Back, Surfers Against Sewage and Oceana.

Presented in association with Royal Albert Home and The Cosmic Shambles Network.
