Even More New Performers Revealed for 24 hour Nine Lessons!

Midday December 12th

The total number of guests announced for our EPIC 24 hours of live science, music and comedy now stands at 74 as we reveal fourteen more today!

We are delighted to announce another great tranche of performers, musicians and scientists who are going to be taking part in this year’s unique show. With Brian Cox and Robin Ince’s Christmas Compendium of Reason and Nine Lessons and Carols for Curious people being shunted off the schedule in 2020 due to the pandemic, we’re doing all the cancelled shows, in a row, for 24+ hours straight.

We’re broadcasting live from the studios of Kings Place where, hopefully, lockdown rules and government and health advice permitting we will be able to welcome a handful of you, socially distanced too. Tickets are here. Of course, should this not be an option you’ll be able to get a full refund. Either way, the whole show will be broadcast live online, for free, but we encourage you to get a pay what you can virtual ticket as the event will, like the live shows, be donating all profits to charity. This year we’re supporting the essential work of Turn2Us, Mind, Doctors Without Borders and the Kings Place Music Foundation. You can donate here.

Robin Ince will host the entire show and his confirmed guests already include Brian Cox, Helen Czerski, Josie Long, Sharon D Clarke, Helen Sharman, Chris Hadfield, Jim Al-Khalili, Nitin Sawhney, Rachel House and Sophie Ellis Bextor. All in all, there will be well over 100 performers, scientists, comedians and more taking part and you can see the full list, with bios, here.

And today we’ve announced fourteen more INCREDIBLE special guests. They are:

• Acclaimed comedian Yianni Agisilaou
• Author and the heart and soul of Australian rock music, Jimmy Barnes
• Immunologist and award winning author Professor Dan Davis
• Multi-platinum selling singer / songwriter Delta Goodrem
• Comedian, author, performer and Python, Robin the Brave himself, Eric Idle
• Award winning comedian, including the Perrier for Best Newcomer, Milton Jones
• Mr Robot and Dispatches from Elsewhere actor Eve Lindley
• Comedian and podcaster Kiri Pritchard-McLean
• Battle of the Sexes and The Meg actress Jessica McNamee
• Multi award winning comedian, writer and presenter Shaun Micallef
• Anthropologist, broadcaster and author Professor Alice Roberts
• Apollo 9 Lunar Module pilot, astronaut Rusty Schweickart
• Inside No.9 and The League of Gentleman’s Reece Shearsmith

It’s going to be 24 hours of chaos, science and fun, and all for charity, to round out quite the challenging year for everyone… For full information about the show head here
