March for Science 2017

The Cosmic Shambles Network is proud to be the official legacy partner of the March for Science

The March for Science celebrates publicly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity. We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to support science that upholds the common good, and political leaders and policymakers who enact evidence-based policies in the public interest.

On Saturday 22nd April, hundreds of thousands of scientists and science enthusiasts in more than 400 locations across the globe marched to recognise scientific progress, raise awareness of scientific discovery, and defend scientific integrity.

The Cosmic Shambles Network is very proud to be the official legacy partner of the March for Science in the UK.  Our aims are the same as those of everyone that marched. On this section of the site you’ll be able to catch up on interviews and speeches from various marches and then explore the rest of the network’s site for more engaging and entertaining science and content from curious people.

Plenty of CSN contributors marched and spoke at the rallies across the world including Robin Ince, Helen Czerski, Trent Burton, Bruce Hood, Brenna Hassett, Simon Singh, Francisco Diego and Suzi Gage.  And we had our own Ginny Smith on the ground in London covering the event.
