The Punk with special guest John Robb

A Book You Might Not Know - Episode Two
This is episode two of our Patreon exclusive podcast series about the random books Robin Ince discovers on his travels.

In this, the second episode, Robin looks at The Punk, a novella from 1977, written by Gideon Sams when he was just fourteen years old. His mother discovered it tossed into the bin and recovered it. Pete Townsend said it should’ve stayed there. Punk historian and frontman for The Membranes, John Robb, thinks it’s a true punk novel. It’s about a 14 year old punk fan who wants to become a brain surgeon and it’s just 60 odd pages.  John is Robin’s special guest this week to talk about it.
